Hi everyone,

I’m sharing a maintenance release of ProPortal, a classic portal module for MyBB.
This is not a brand-new plugin from scratch. It’s an updated package so ProPortal can run more reliably on MyBB 1.8.x  and PHP 8.0+.

What is ProPortal?
ProPortal is a portal module (not only a file under

). It focuses on features many communities still want on a forum homepage:

Requirements

• MyBB 1.8.x
  
  
• PHP 8.0+ recommended
  
  
• After install: delete or rename portal/install/
  

Installation (short)

1. Backup your board and database.
   
   
2. Upload the contents of Upload/ to your forum root.
   
   
3. Run the ProPortal installer if this is a new install.
   
   
4. Remove portal/install/.
   
   
5. Configure blocks & settings under Admin CP → Pro Portal.
   
   
6. More detail is in Read Me.html and Pro Portal → Portal Info.
   
   
7. If something is unclear, ask here — I’ll help as I can. Other members or staff may chime in too.
   

Honest Limitations
Please read this before running it on a live board:

• This is a maintenance release, not a formal security audit.
  
  
• It is not a 1:1 replacement for every portal plugin on the community.
  
  
• Boards with old portal templates may need template tweaks for the full flex layout (CSS fallback still helps).
  
  
• The old ProMyBB “Latest News” feed may be empty if that feed is offline.
  
  
• Custom PHP blocks are powerful — only for trusted admins.
  
  
• Responsive behaviour also depends on your theme.
